Hello!  If you’ve been playing along with 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown all year long, you should have a nice supply of Christmas cards that are ready to be signed, put in envelopes and mailed now that it’s December.  Or, if you’re like me, you’ve already sent them to a charitable organization of your choice so that others may use them.  Either way, those cards are going to be spreading cheer very soon!

Since December tends to be a busy month for most people, at 52{C}CT we’ve decided to have just one challenge this month – but it will last for two weeks!  So you have until 1:00 p.m. eastern time Friday, December 20 to link a card that uses any of our challenges from 2013.  You’re welcome to choose one of our color challenges, sketch challenges, theme or recipe challenges, or embellishment challenges – or, you can even combine two or more of our challenges!  You can find the challenge ideas on the 52{C}CT site.

I’ve decided to use the July 2013 sketch (turned on its side) with the October 2013 “no red or green” color scheme.  I’ve had these cute little birdies for a while and finally got a good chance to use them.  There are three birds in the stamp set; one of them is peeking out from inside the card.  For the two on the outside of the card, I stamped them on the image panel as well as on a scrap piece of white cardstock.  I colored the ones on the white cardstock and fussy cut them out – well, except for the legs, because that would have been too fussy, LOL!  Then I glued the colored birds over top of the ones stamped directly on the panel.

Be sure to check out what the rest of the Design Team has made, and leave some love for them on their blogs, too!  Then share your own card with us!  We’re looking forward to seeing what you create!

Stamps: Winter Sparrows, Critters in the Snow (Lawn Fawn)
Cardstock: Early Espresso, Blue Bayou, Soft Sky, Whisper White (Stampin’ Up); “Jack Frost” designer paper from Blitzen collection (Basic Grey)
Ink: Early Espresso (SU)
Other: markers (Copic); sponge
