Today is my mom’s birthday!  I hope that she has a wonderful day.  I also hope that as I grow older, I stay as young at heart as she has remained.  (True story:  not long ago she was telling me about “some OLD ladies” who go to the same beauty salon as she does.  Um… I don’t want to embarrass my mom by revealing her age, but let’s just say that in high school she studied World War II as “current events”.  It just tickled my funny bone that she didn’t consider herself to be of a similar age as the other women.)

Here’s the card I made for my family to send her.  I decided to dust off a few stamp sets I hadn’t used in a long time.  The layout is Splitcoaststampers Weekly Sketch Challenge #283 rotated 90°.  Once I chose my color scheme and stamps, this came together more quickly and easily than I’d originally thought it would.  I just wish the photo showed that I used textured cardstock for the card base.
